Panglao Island is mainly made up of Maribojoc coralline limestone, a soluble limestone type and its erosion has caused the numerous caves, sinkholes and fissures found extensively underwater and on land in Panglao Island. This explains the makings of Panglao Coralline.

Panglao in Bohol named one of best secret beaches on earth

Panglao Island in Bohol makes it to the cover of Travel + Leisure March 2012 issue: The Undiscovered Beaches List!  Travel + Leisure is a travel magazine based in New York City and has 4.8 million readers.

The Department of Tourism in the Philippines also tweeted about the good news.

The magazine also mentioned other places to visit in Bohol, such as the Bohol Bee Farm, which offers dishes using organic ingredients harvested on site and serves ube ice cream.
